Indoor/Sunshine Grow

the base is filled up with rocks, so it's very heavy and won't topple over....it's the weight of the buds that could cause the branch to snap...that's my worry and future problem if not addressed soon.

I have bamboo stakes that I'll use, but also want it portable as I move it around the livingroom to follow the direct sunshine, then into the dark room every night

ISK, Wow she is doing great, You'll have to call her your Big Girl...
oh yeah, she's a fatty alright.....really happy with her so far

Nizza....I'm think about 4 weeks more, but it's very dependent upon the weather, I really need a few strong weeks of sunshine, as I'm only getting 2 1/2 hours of direct sunshine now, so it's starting to feel allot like autumn.

Last year I kept my gal going until mid-October, then the crap weather made it a futile effort to continue

i'm in the same boat, the buds haven't quite swelled yet and october is right around the corner. Last year the biggest problem for me was risk of mold, one plant that i let go later than the others got fucked up bad. Of course it was the densest most indica dominant one too...

Ohhh ISK, just love your girls, nice job on the trelis support. My crystal ball shows some nice fat colas in the future. I wanted to ask...have you found a convenient measuring "spoon" size for 7grams of MaxiBloom? And, if you don't mind...do you have to add it to warm water first to dissolve it? I might want to try the Lucas Formula with it on a side project.

A 5ml measuring spoon is damn close, but I use gun powder scales (in grains) which are rather precise, so I measure 107.4 grains which equals 7 grams

I fill a glass jar with hot tap water then add the GH powder, next I use a milk frothier to mix it.

The milk frothier works so well, as before I would do the shake method which is a royal pain in the ass and after 5 minutes there would still be some residue on the bottom....about 60 seconds of the frothier, let settle, give it a few more spins if any residue settles. (PS: frothier are cheap ($7) but it becomes red from the GH so I have another one for my "cafe con leche")

I then add my cal-mag to 4 litres of water, add the GH mix and pH + to an "orange/yellow" colour, then pour into 6 glass jars for individual servings (about 660ml each).

PS I had found it would start to "smell bad" in about 3 days if stored in the plastic jug...no problems stored in glass

BTW: I only have one plant, so one batch will last me 6 days

Darn, I just sold all my shot-shell reloading gear and the powder scale went with it. Thanks for the info ISK. I've read where others have issues dissolving Maxi-power, but others claim it's easy.

Yes, I had issues before I started using the milk frothier, I would use near boiling water and sometimes I would need to shake the jar for at least 10 minutes.

well for such an unlucky day, it's sure nice and sunny....some nice morning sun and they say will be warm until Monday

I'm a bit worried as this years grow is behind schedule compared to last year....I still have all white hairs, no red at all (and clear trichromes)

Hang in there ISK, she will reward you. I'm just now enjoying your wisdom regarding humidity control during cure....couldn't have it any better on this harvest right now...and I want this one to last forever....

note...post above has the wrong date....is was Sunday Sept 22.....must have been high

The crap weather is officially here, serious rain and no sunshine in sight for several days...so I fired up the 600 watt HPS

setup the room mostly the same as last time except the ballast is outside the room and extra fans....the temp is doing well (73 to 75F)

I hoping the sudden change in light source doesn't trigger her to become hermie......... she was a late start so needs a turbo charger.

I'll move her out into the sun if/when it ever returns....I'm guessing 3 weeks to finish her up

the pic in the sun was Wednesday

ISK, you know how we read things here on RIU about plant stress in late flower and "hermie's". I was wondering if you are on the lookout for "nanners" since the bud damage.....let us know if you have another data point to substantiate others claims. To me, she's still a doll there Hempy Brother and I look forward to a nice yield for you.
