indoor to outdoor?

its to cold for growing here at this time of yeaar. so im wondering if i can start a plant now, and keep it going until march and then put it outside. i dont have the enough lighting for a large plant so id need to put it outside.
can a plant live through that change?

has the plant started flowering
but why not just cut some clones and then you have more plants just keep topping them to keep the size down

the reason im moving them outside is because my light setup is only strong enough for one medium sized plant.
