Just a quick question.
I made about half a oz of bubble has from mouldy trim, I washed it in a bucket first drained it off then proceeded with the process,
Im just wondering would I be smoking mould spores It looks good and smokes perfect .
Just been wheezing and shortness of breath with a slight cough, I had but it’s gone now, sharp pains when Inhaling just want to rule out with the bubble and fungus.
I think I may of cracked a rib few weeks ago also that might be the reason aswell,
I am going to see my doc when I get back in the country next week, away working overseas at the moment
First, get rid of all Moldy weed. It's probably safe made into edibles but not worth the risk for inhalation. Get your ribs x-rayed. Normal, healthy people can usually clear some amount of inhaled Aspergilla. But smoking heroic doses of it, especially if you did crack a rib and you may need to see a Pulmonologist and let's hope not a Thoracic Surgeon.
Good question . Let's ask our resident medical guru .
@curious2garden what are the symptoms of lung fungi and what would be helpful advice for someone who has knowingly inhaled tainted herbs?
You would see:
1. Exertional Dyspnea
2. Fever
3. Occasionally Hemoptysis
Aspergilla is relatively ubiquitous and is found on tobacco in low levels. However if a product is visibly moldy it is prudent to dispose of it.
Invasive Aspergillosis (IA), can kill the immunocompromised patient (

Some Pulmonologists are recommending that if Marijuana is de-scheduled for use it's mode of administration be oral as opposed to inhalation.
No experience in lungs but a friend bought and old farm house and when he and his wife renovated she had spores get lodged in her sinuses and they almost had to essentially remove her nose. Fungal infections are no joke.
I don't think the OP is in any real danger from a little bit of exposure though.
Most people do not inhale significantly high enough amounts of moldy Marijuana to get a sinus infection. Most of these type of Invasive Aspergillosis infections come from wet buildings (WBS), over time.
However if one is immunocompromised or smokes and exhales a lot of very moldy marijuana anything is possible.
