There has to be a reason to go to the SC....Phelan would have to err in law...I don't think he can, this needs to go to supreme court in order to get big changes done.
That's what i've thought all along. When you look at how things went down in Colorado, it just makes sense. LP's will become the next Molson's or Labbatt's of recreational marijuana and be a source for patients who can't/ don't want to grow. That would be ideal for patients but I don't think we can get our way that much...unfortunately, LPs are here to stay....I'm starting to think it was the long term plan to accommodate the rec market, only LPs need time to learn how to grow...we are still going to win though!
That's making a huge assumption that rec users are stupid and uneducated about mj. We know this to generally not be true. Lp's already have a Horrible rep among mmj patients. Sure they will be able to get some business when the laws change just due to their ability to ship... If they can lol. Truth is you're going to see lots of mom and pop, store fronts opening up like what's happening currently in vancouver with the dispensarys. They now have more storefront mmj stores then tim hortons in vancouver. So picture that across Canada. Sure there will be regulations about where they can be located and security measures ect. LP's won't survive long term imo. That's what i've thought all along. When you look at how things went down in Colorado, it just makes sense. some?? Hippy, are you softening?I so wanna see some LP's fail....will be like Xmas to me.
I don't think it's a huge assumption and mj users are educated. The LP's are already set up, have government approval and are ready to go. I think the mom and pop dispensaries will be the retail outlets. Like the beer market, there is always room for smaller players, but imo the millions spent by LP's for the chance to get in on the ground floor wasn't an investment in medicinal usage projections. The recreational consumer is going to choose his or her brand of choice...if the current LP's can't match the quality and price of the smaller guy's, they won't be around long. It's going to be interesting to watch it play out. That's making a huge assumption that rec users are stupid and uneducated about mj. We know this to generally not be true. Someone HAS to see this in the US , PLEASE. Just so ridiculous, no strain differences, it's just marketing.. A whole industry predicated on lies.........sounds like being a crown lawyer actually.OMFG!
Opps...pardon me....must have had a brain aneurism goes off while I typed that.some?? Hippy, are you softening?
I agree the lps are here to stay, and don't think the mmar will be fully brought back! I think there will be fees for inspections, I don't think anyone new will be able to grow, just those prior to 2013 will be grandfathered in. the dispensaries and lp will supply all the others. I also think there will be a limit for personal grows and dppl will have similar rules based on patients, but why have dppl if the lps and dispensaries are allowed? I hope so but very in dought dppl will be allowed again.God, would be so nice if they'd just reinstate the MMAR fully again.
