last two winters I had grows going...and I have forced air electric furnace...
my hydro bill tripled...but no one paid me a visit...
this year I had an addition that was not completely insulated until about half way thru the winter....
burrr...furnace ran pretty hard...but no grow....wonder if the knock is coming????
also reason I did the addition was to remove most of the original house....drywall
never had a grow in it..we bought from original owners which were very elderly couple..but was full of black mould on the back side of the drywall...

The are talking about when you use more than 80% of your say 100 amp service 24/7 365...

again... Illegal grows!!!!

5kwatts & veg room for 4 yrs straight, all season paid every bill on time and never a visit. also had 2cops living right behind me and had cops at my house once also, never a issue. no one new from what I know. built rooms fully closed enviro grow.

I'm not 100% on the details but the only way the gov/cities got info from BC Hydro for power usage was there is/was a loop hole on the freedom of information act that allowed the gov to look at a companies info if that company was a crown corporation/or partly owned by the gov.

The people I spoke with that knew the BC Hydro CEO's/higher ups said their handd were tied and they could have care less who used what as long as no one was stealing the hydro. Why would a corporation cut it own profit if it didn't have to.


Also I'm 99% sure Garis stated in a new article that there were more taps in Surrey as the kept on with the hydro inspections and people started to hide their usage.

I helped a buddy of mine set up a grow room in a mezzanine in his car shop. Its was a semi busy shop and he had RCMP officers in there all the time for oil changes. He had 8 lights in there and vented out the roof. Ran like that for about a year till he sold his shop.

You could use 70 kw 24/7 and as long as you paid they would not say anything on a 100 amp panel.
