If your washing machine is large enough for the shroom you have just toss it in there and use a gentle cycle. If they are too big as most of mine are, then just wash it by hand in the tub. They sell a kit

that you can use to clean and re-oil it, I just cleaned it by hand with dish soap, let it dry and sprayed with PAM. lol

Washing and oiling..... I'm having flashbacks to my motocross days of the 70s, always washing and oiling my air 2-stroke air filters. Damn Yamaha monoshock had twin filters. Ugh.

So your suggestion is still PAM?

Washing mine right now in the washer.

If yours is a smaller one that fits in a washing machine make sure to take off the clamp, that might come off and tear up the filter. Gentle cycle only. I hand wash mine because they are all 10 and 12 inch and don't fit in my washer.

Yeah PAM works great, you could try putting veggie oil in a mister but that might not work so good... The PAM worked good for me. Spray a nice healthy coating on it. I did inside and out, less on the inside though. Also helps slide it on the duct lol.

The stuff they sell is an oil in an aerosol can, but the label makes it sound kinda sketch so I never used it and just did the PAM.
