I live in michigan where it snows all winter and really cold weather. I read ur supposed to vent fresh air to your room and old air out. How do i vent fresh air if its winter time and I can't pull freezing temps in my room?

Shud u just pull air from a separate room? Until summer? Then I can pull air from outside in? Or will it be too hot to pull in then? This stuffs confusing.

1. Vent the air in your house into your grow space and then above it outside.

2. Bring cold air in and heat it on the way to your grow room.

3. Use it as AC and put the vent fan from outside on a thermostat so it only runs if the room is too warm.

Its better if you can intake from inside your home. If not, you have two problems. The cold air is really cold, and the temps are extremely variable so it would need to be thermostatically controlled. Second problem the air is so dang cold that whatever the air touches is going to cool that object (wall, ceiling, duct, whatever is near). Its going to be below the dew point..........so get ready for massive condensation.

What about a backdraft damper?
It wont work, unless thermostatically controlled exhaust fan. You could buy a plug in one, or wire up a thermostat.

Still going to have issues. Not saying it cant be done though. I live in Michigan and I don't mess with such things (anymore).
