Intake fan - Inside the grow room?

Hey all,

So I'm considering room layout. Only problem is, I would like to keep all equipment located inside of the grow room itself. I'll be using an open-room style ventilation. Air cooled lights, with a separate intake and exhaust.

Can I somehow place the intake fan inside my room, while linking it to a Phresh air intake filter? I need the intake filter obviously to prevent mold/ bugs from getting blown into the grow room.

What do you guys think?

I put a filter cloth on the intake duct. Works good!

Anyone have a good shot of their tent intake fan/duct?

I would for sure put the fan in the tent. I do and it works great to prevent mildew and mold. Just seal up your tent so it's air tight with gorilla tape then get some 8 inch metal air ducting and make a hole in your tent for it. Then just go get a good hepa filter and cut then tape the filter over the end of the ducting. Good airflow that is hepa filtered. Also you can attach a big square filter to a box fan with duct tape for a ghetto hepa room filter.

Yes run the fans on the in side I run 4 x 10inch fans in my main room. Most of the time only need to run 2. I only run the 4 when its hot I run 9x600 hps and never need a AC at all

Hey Bryan- That's awesome I never thought it would be possible to go bare-bulb with no AC. If you don't mind, could you tell me a little more about your setup? Like what are your room dimensions, and do you mean you have four 10" fans all for exhaust, or 2 intake + 2 exhaust? And what are your normal house temps/ grow room temps?

Yes I can help you I don't no why everybody think you have to run AC. I run 2 intake + 2 exhaust as I said that's not all the time. Plus I run 4 wall fans just to mix the air up. Plus i run a thermostat for a heat and the 4 x10" fans. With the lights out the temp runs at 66 and with lights no 77 up to 80. The room size is 10L 8W 7H
