Intake Help

I have a 6 IN Exhaust fan, but can I run ducting to my window and just have air naturally run in there with no fan help? It is growing in my shed where it gets humid and hot real quick so currently I vent the air outside. But the air inside the shed is muggy. Can i just run ducting and air will natural flow in or do i need a fan?

If you have the fan exhausting from the tent or room that creates a negative pressure in the room. You can absolutely just duct air to one of the inlets in the bottom of the tent and let the exhaust draw air into the tent.

But will it do effectively if there is no fan on the intake end of it?

Yes. It will be effective. Will it be blowing stuff around all over the place? Nah. but it's plenty. When your in full bloom you'll want a negative pressure. This will allow you to utilize the carbon filter. Otherwise scent will seep out of seams and zippers and bypass your filter. There are some pretty good stickies in the indoor growing section that will help you out

Edit: hmm. Maybe not I'm not finding a lot of good info on airflow design.let me put it to you like this try without an intake fan first if you feel you need more cooling stick a fan inline. I initially used an intake fan. I have since removed it because it wasn't really adding anything to the party. That and I added a stand alone ac to the room so I wanted to use the inline fan to exhaust the warm air that comes off it

I would just buy an inline fan @220 cfm. They are under twenty bucks. Thats half your exhaust, and you get the bennies of fresh air.

Okay, I just got a 4 inch fan off ebay, i will just install it where the opening is, not to worried about money just worried about the quality of my grow. I was going to Manifold my white widow and take clones off of it and hopefully get 4 manifolds in my 4x4 Tent

It wont hurt to bring fresh air. Heers on your grow!
