Intake source question

There is a basic basement window that is in the top of the room that I originally thought to use for an intake, but my problems with that are; 1. I like the intake to be closer to the ground because the exhaust will be up in the air, 2. The air that would be circulated would be warm summer air, which can rocket my temperatures, waste air conditioning, and 3. the window is on the driveway in a popular area, and could be suspicious. I could probably rig something through an old fashioned water pump, but that would be difficult and time consuming.

My outtake will go from the top-inside of the room, to the outside top of the room using a bathroom exhaust fan. This air will be exhausted into the basement.
Sounds like a no-brainer, the house has AC so temps should stay fine, but im exhausting into the same air that is going to be used for the intake. The basement is probably 20x20, maybe a bit more, so I think that it should have enough airflow to support it. But I need some to tell me I'm right, because my last shot at intake/outtake didn't work like I planned, ha.

as long as the basement air contains fresh air and you can cool the room itself i dont see a problem with this..

get it set up w/o plants and find out. easy-peasy-lemon-squeezy.

By intaking the cold air from living area will cause your AC to work more and cost more in electric consumption. Apart from that everything should be fine.

It sounds like the basement is A/C, if that is the case the air from the room is being taken out and mixed with the air from the rooms that are in that A/C zone, that's good. If the air in the basement smells it's going to blow it al over the house, that's bad. I hope you have a plan for the odor. Good luck!
