I'm new and sorry if this is asked and answered somewhere - trying to time moving product on I-70 from Utah to St. Louis. Any help is appreciated.

What about getting through Colorado west to east, anybody have any suggestions? Is I-70 in CO bad. Now that I-80 is all screwed up I want to figure out the best way through CO. I need to move quite a bit.

Dont break laws and travel after midnight. Stop at dawn .

Thanks. I'm probably just being parinoid but seems like I would stick out more after midnight with less cars on road. Trying to take it in two rental trucks. Doesn't seem like there is a good alternate route through CO than I-70, which is freakin me out.

I know, old thread but as the interdiction pigs get worse out there I feel that I now should add my 2 cents: I-70 & I-470 Wheeling, Ohio County, WV ........ The West Virginia State Police and Ohio County Sheriff treat this 15 mile section of road like it was Nazi Germany.... In 2013 They formed the Mountaineer Highway Interdiction Team and they are as crooked as they come.. Believe me, I listen to the radio communications and they do some serious profiling... blatantly I must add... If you must travel through this section of freeway do it at night because they will lie about having PC to stop you (saying they observed a lane violation when you in fact were driving just fine..... A common place for them to sit is at the Pennsylvania state line where the speed limit actually increases to 70 from 65.... Another common place for them to sit is in the median at one of the two turnarounds at the 5 milepost right where you enter the city of Wheeling and the speed limit drops way down to 55....... from there you can take 470 or stay on 70... take 470 because there is a third turn around at the 3 MM where they lie in wait as well..... They work this trap several times a week at all different times of daylight hours so if you have to come through during daylight, good luck... or if you are travelling westbound, you can play it safe and get off at exit 6 (Claysville) in Pennsylvania and take route 40 for about 20 miles until you intersect with I-70west again in Elm Grove- just be sure to go no faster than 40 once you cross into West Virginia because there are town police in Valley Grove and Triadelphia who only look for speeders (and the Triadelphia cop is a dick and will call for back up if you are from out of town and he gets you for speeding... one last thing to point out about I-70 through WV is that Wheeling PD has a dedicated "highway unit" that is always on patrol on one of the three freeways that traverse the city... they don't profile but they will call in the dog and other backup if they get u for speed which is 55 everywhere except for between the Ohio Rver bridge and Wheeling Tunnel where it is 45..... It is amazing what details one can learn from monitoring a police radio scanner....
