Nice light!

Those 2 will go in a 4x8, there was 2X 1000W MH/HPS before in there but the power bill was stupid so with those light im getting better coverage with 200W saving per light, i calculatred that by changing the light in 6 years they will be paid off just by the power saving cost.
Added the UVB solacure 18W tube on the light, should help raise a little the THC.

ugh! sorry to hear that. I try to pack the hell out of everything as if they are going to let the 700 lb gorilla jump up and down on it before throwing it down the steps... which they sometimes do!

almost everything ships insured... if you ever get a damaged box best to take lots of pics ASAP, just in case.

You did a great job! And this is the first time I've ever had beat up packages with USPS. And the package I got the next day was as bad or worse!

money well spent. once youre into drivers, heatsinks, and the time it takes to build it, skimping on the chips is ill-advised
I already have heat sinks and cob holders and cxa3070 cobs , what I need is a dimmable driver for them , I asked here and emailed @CobKits and I never got a reply , I would like to purchase things but I am getting no answers

Id go for either the hlg185-36A (or even AB if you can find it) or a xlg240m-AB.

Im.not 100% but if i recall correct those cxb3070 have slightly over 36V forward voltage. The 36A would let you compensate this by adjusting voltage, and the xlg240m has a very wide voltage range and would give you a slight bump in topline wattage.

Even so i would look into to changing to luminus cxm, they are cheap and will give better performance than any other chip tested hwre.

Thank you , good to see you also, in my mind I think I I have to buy different cobs and different drivers all together , I'll probably sale my old cob panels on Craigslist and switch to quantum boards , I was just wanting to make my older cxa panel dimmable , right now I am using 4 separate drivers on my cxa's and it's not dimmable

The CXA 3070 was a great cob in its day, but modern cobs are far superior, depending on what size heatsinks you have, an upgrade might surprise you with the increase in light and efficiency. What driver to choose depends on how much wattage/heat they can handle.
What size heatsinks do you have?

thats strange. i remember the email well. 3070, while its own size, uses the same holder spacing as the normal 28mm chips like citi 1212, 1818, and luminus cxm22. easy bolt-in

will look thru emails, if you dont hear back, feel free to email me again.

those are actually B drivers. The A's go a little higher on voltage and are a better match for the diablos if you run them in parallel like i do. i have some coming in within the week (and ABs coming in in about 3 weeks
