i wanna fully characterize em first. i havent tested these ones (3000k 80), only the 4000k 80 which tested right with the best chips out there (cxb3590, clu048, clu058, vero29, etc) around 40-60W

they will be $19 before RIU discount so ~$17. same accessories across the board as the clu048 so lots of options

i want to get more colors but we'll see how they are received first. i need to buy 400 of a color at a time unlike the citis where i can mix up my order and get individual colors in trays of 30. so i went for 3000k 80cri first and would prob do 3500k 80, 3000 90 and 3500 90 next.

my goal is to sell so many of them that i can buy the 400 packs without stressing. stay tuned for some kits that will perform as good as any out there yet be embarrassingly cheap. figured you guys would be into that,

what about performance? do you think anything will be replacing the 1212s at that price range anytime soon?

r u interested in selling assembled cob units say a 200-300 watt that will cover a 4ftx4ft area? using the citizen chips?

hard to get much cheaper than $12. prob new gen citi 1212s in a few months, hopefully they can keep their price point, the new chips are ~5% more efficient but more importantly they have lower Fv which will help them fit better on CC drivers where they just miss in some cases

heres the datasheet on the new luminus:

http://www.luminus.com/products/Luminus_XnovaCXM22-GEN3_Datasheet.pdf

i just got a sample of the cxm32 yesterday which per datasheet should be about the baddest chip out there but it literally took me 3-4 months to get a sample. i think they may have overstated how far along they were into production with these. the cxm22 and 27 samples i got 2 mos ago were obv. pre-production, the cxm32 was barcoded like my production cxm22 lot so i guess those are rolling now

thats the most linear diode curve i've ever seen....

Whats the nominal wattage resting on these? I'm looking for a cheaper/better replacement for my Cree CXB3590 3500K 72V chips, running four to a Meanwell HLG -185H -C700B.

Would the 72V Veros do it for you? I think northern grow lights has them four for $100..........

the 72V veros are ~$35. they are more efficient than the $25 36 and 50V versions (as well as the CXBs). that would fit your "better" criteria

the luminus cxm22 would be like a cross-grade as they are about the same efficiency as the CXBs per watt. @ 700mA they would run about 35W and be a little more efficient than the 72V CXBs at 700 mA. that would fit your "cheaper" criteria

It was for @ttystikk not me my friend. I am happy with my cxb lights thus far and running them against an hps for my own comparison. The veros took too long to come out when I was in the middle of my build so I went the cxb route.

Do appreciate the info though.
