Ionizer's + rep

I have a 6" carbon filter I built with a pair of nylons, activated carbon and a fan. But unfortunately it is not strong enough. Has anyone used an ionizer with any effect? My friend suggested it but before I spend any money id like to know.

try to seran wrap your filter to the end so it has to go through all the carbon and the ionizer will neutralize whats left you can always buy ona and place at the end of your ducting
