Iranian Auto Flower

Just wondering if someone could help me out with these puppies. I have eleven seeds that were given to me by a friend, he bought them from Dr. Greenthumbs but is now moving away and can't grow em. They've been germinated and now I have had them planted in pop cans for the past few days. I live in Eastern Canada and we're having a pretty brutal spring here, literally almost no sun for the past couple weeks (reason for late start). I've had the plants on my window sill and today was the first day I got them outside in the sun. Been watering them once a day.

I have them planted in some organic planting mix that I bought at a local garden store. Not sure if I should stay with the same soil or get something else when I transplant them outdoors. Here is a quote from their website to give you an idea of the type of soil I'm working with:

"PG Mix growing mediums are formulated using pure Canadian Sphagnum Peat Moss from our location in Prince Edward Island, Canada. PG Mix growing mediums are scientifically formulated using blond Sphagnum moss to provide the best growing medium for professionals. All mediums contain a starter fertilizer, trace elements, and a wetting agent. All mixes are pH adjusted."

I've included a pic of one of the plants close up and a pic of all of them, a couple seem to be lagging behind on growth a bit. How do they look? Any advice on growing would be greatly appreciated. I'd particularly like to know when I should put them outside for good, what type of nutrients I should use and when. Hopefully with some help from you guys I can grow these bad boys as healthy as possible and keep a nice journal here, uploading pics regularly.

Ahh they've been coming up for the past couple of days. Kind of worried about the ones that are still just sprouting past the soil. I guess they can't all grow at the same rate.

ya that isnt "soil" its mainly peat moss with is fine for seedlings. But once you want to transplant outside I put my trust of Fox Farm Ocean Forest. Its draining nicely for frequent waters but not to fast to where if you leave them a couple days their dead. Also its organic

Wow so much to learn, thanks Kevdogg. Okay so I will need to find a soil then. Problem is I live in Canada so no Fox Farm. Pretty well all I have to work with is Walmart/Home Depot/Canadian Tire/Home Hardware/a couple local garden stores. Thinking of just going with the MG time release potting soil along with some perlite. I'd like to make my own but it seems like it'd be a bit out of my league at this point aha. Currently doing a lot of reading up online to try and figure out what my options are.

Also, I'd like to use growing bags for my plants when I put them outdoors. It just seems like the easiest way to go plus these plants are only small. Just curious what size bags I should buy. Thanks.

NOOOO! Dont go use MG!!!! I bet you will have a much better luck and results with just a normal potting soil with some perlite. MG is crap for weed, ive seen many attempts here is RIU using MG and it doesnt turn out very splendid. So i recommend going with ur local nursery and creating a mix there. (A mix ive made was normal light potting soil, perlite, volcanic rock, some coco nut husk and some wood chips. It drained nicely and help good moisture

Okay got it. Do you think they would be able to help me out if I just told them I was growing tomatoes? I hear the plants are similar. I can go in there with a list of all the stuff I'd like to buy but I may need some help with the specific amounts and stuff like that, and I'm sure buddy will ask what I'm growing.
