Irie genetics??? Worth a try?

New to growing as of december 2018. With michigans new laws it only made sense. I research a ton and thankful to find this site. Through my research I'm trying to find a breeder worth spending my hard earned money on. Any input, pictures and advice would be greatly appreciated. Heard a ton of good things about rasta jeff and his genetics. Thank you to all that reply in advance!

He is a good dude that has some good genetics. Ive ran one strain from him (storm shadow). It was a decent plant. I have had some germination issues with several of his feminized seeds. Not sure I would direct you away from irie but not the most reliable brand IMO

Whats your opinion sir? Also where can i find them? Thank you.

I got and ran a couple of freebies from The Dank Team called cookies and cream x arise, later named the cream. I loved them. Have no idea where to find Irie now that TDT is gone.

There are so many options on seeds. Very difficult to choose. I really like that irie shows pictures and gives advice on growing his strains. Its tough when breeders give so little info....no pics, stats, or descriptions.

always wanted to try dubwise, hear good things about arise. Cookie Stomper is another one I'd like to try

I popped 6 donatello 5 days ago. So far so good. All germinated and sprung up! Its the first pack of seeds ive purchased and germinated. Ive been running off clones previously. I will update with pics regularly throughout the grow.

I just finished growing some Irie Genetics, Arise and Michelangelo. They are currently drying now.

Arise: I had bad germ issues with the Arise, 1/5. I did get a female with the lone seed and she was pretty vigorous through veg but didn’t stretch too much. It was not an easy plant to grow and this pheno definitely wanted to 13+weeks. I chopped at 72 days and it wasn’t close. The smell is fowl lol. It’s definitely sticky and I’ll await final judgement for the smoke report.

Michelangelo: I popped two beans (fems) and had 100% success. Two different phenos, one more squat and a stretchier one. The taller one was definitely louder but could’ve gone another 10+ days. Decent frost. The shorter pheno ended up getting a spot of bud rot because the bugs are really dense and a bud was resting against a leaf. They were both pretty easy to grow, the shorter one especially. The taller pheno definitely needs a boost in early flower. Awesome orange terps on these girls and it carries through to the smoke.

I think his genetics are decent and that he seems like an awesome and completely open and transparent guy.

Thanks for the insight. Sounds like they like to go 10+ weeks. Not a biggie if its dank enough

I think it depends on the pheno you get. The shorter Michelangelo was done around day 60, the taller 75+. I was running 12/12 until about weeks 7-8, then I switched to 11/13 and the taller one definitely started to finish up quicker. If I had run 11/13 the whole time, I do think the taller pheno would’ve finished by day 70. The Arise was just a f’ed up grow. I took a clone that I put outside a few weeks ago, almost as an experiment to see if I just sucked at growing it inside or if it’s just a shitty pheno

Might be a stupid question but what does f2 mean. I see the f's and s's on the breeder pages. I just dont know what they are and which is better

F’s represent the next filial generation. F2 would represent the kids of F1’s. S’s mean selfed and is where fems come from. They’re supposed to give you a solid representation of the mother

Just for clarification...f2 would be 2 top selected from a batch? So as the F's move on they should get better or closer to a selected group rather than so much genetic diversity? Either way thanks a lot for the time and information. Did rasta jeff release the f2's?
