This is gonna be a real treat for us to see!!!! I can't wait for your new lights!! are you gonna hang them right away, and finish out your casey jones grow with them?

My girls are really liking the second 180... it has only been a full week since i had it, but there is already new bud growth on the older plants. and the new plants are getting bud sites in a week!!! I have a blueberry that has been directly under a spectra since it started flowering. it is by far my best plant right now!!! I'll get a pic a little later and post it for ya... your gonna love the look of these buds under the 180's!!!

na bro i am going to trade out right when i get this next week. its cool because my girls are just barley flowering, but the bad is we will have to wait until a get a full grow under the 290's to see how the do for sure. this grow just has too crazy of heat problems and its not fair to judge the lights in this case. but i will say if i can pull good quality meds in this 100F+ temps i will be a happy man, not even worried about yield on this grow just want the fire. i am hoping i can get quality like my other grows even in these temps. i will be amazed if i can pull things off in these temps and that says allot right their to me about these leds since summer is my biggest issue.


bro i cant wait to see ur pics, take some nice juicy ones for us and please post them when ever you want.

here ya go.... a Blueberry directly under the center of a spectra since day one of flowering (my first full GLH flower in my perp) fox farms tiger bloom/ beastie bloomz and humbolts ginormous. in Dr. earth organic soil. she has 3-4 weeks to go. enjoy...

yea, she is a whole lot a sativa!!! I was in amsterdam many years ago and a friend asked me to get him some blueberry seeds. so not knowing anything about strains and seeds, I stonedly walked into a shop that said "seeds" on a small sign. A cute girl not wearing many clothes asked what I was looking for.... i said, ahhh I was looking for blueberry seeds, she turned around and walked in the back and brought me a pack. I thought she had such a nice ass, I asked her to sell me a pack of this other random kind on their menu, just to watch her shake her hinnie one more time! hahaha anyway.... About 7 years later i had the opportunity to grow indoors. and once I started my friend gave me a clone of that blueberry. and the rest is history!!! sorry for the ramble i just thought it was a better story than "i bought them over the internet". and BTW don't think "stonedly" is a word, but i used it anyway!


on another note... I just started to germinate a breed that is Casey Jones crossed with Headband (casey band) X cotton candy crossed with shishkeberry red(C4). no name yet... just C4 X Casey band. they were both picked from very good stock!!! I'm excited for these!!

How far away did you have your GLH? Looks like it could of been closer during veg. Lots of stretching. Looks like some very good smoke either way!bongsmilie

Thanks man, at that time, I used CFL and a small HPS to veg. The HPS was there to mainly add heat for the winter. I also was flowering with a cheap tri band 1W diode panel from HTG and a mix of CFL's. Now I use the HTG panel to veg with and I have two GLH 180's to flower with. I have a one in / one out every week, perpetual set up. not always the biggest plants but it's for personal use and it's organic... and there's always another plant next week!

hahah that is one classic story my friend!!! haha thats badasss.....ive been wanting to go to Amsterdam for some time now. Ive been hearing about some law that is suppose to make it illegal for non-residents to purchase cannabis from the coffee shops or something like that. I dont understand it.

IRISH! whats good brother? i just read that you are going to switch things up a little, sucks the heat was getting the best of things. Hopefully the new lights will help out man.

Looking to do a grow i love the sound of LED considering the low heat stealth and electricity costs they are claiming. Are the costs noticeable from HPS. Great stuff irish, im still stuck on branding im looking to set up big and purchase quite a few units. Id rather get quality and spend a little more. Would you consider getting less higher watt units than more less watt units. Thanks

yea man, amsterdam is like candy land for adults!!! I highly suggest every stoner visiting at least once or twice. and yes, I have also heard that they were gonna stop selling to out of towners... I'm not saying it's BS, But they were saying that back when i went almost ten years ago!!! I think it could be a marketing pitch to get more money. this would be like vermont telling people they they can't ski unless they are from vermont. most of Hollands revenue comes from tourism.

and yea, you better believe I am giving there new breeds some extra careful love!!! I can't wait to see em pop out of the soil!!! I have some other good crosses to start also!!! should be a great second half of the year!!!

thanks bro. the 290's is what i wanted from the start, just allot more flexable for me and these temps plus it would be nice for my tray.

any company that tell you that 180w will match a 400w hps or 300w will match a 1000w hps is full of shit and u should stay away from them. and company that says their lights put out no heat is full of shit. these are sales scams. you have to be very careful when buying leds its easy to waste money if not doing ur homework. now a 300w led unit could match or beat a 400w hps. leds do but out heat but its not radiant heat like HID, so it wont heat stress or fry ur plants just as i am showing with my plants still healthy in 110F temps. with HPS they would be fried because of the radiant (IR) beaming down on them. leds is more for quality and getting better quality meds, once u smoke some meds grown with good leds you will understand what i am talking about.

as fAR AS HOW MANY LIGHTS WOULD BE BEST? IF DEPENDS ON WHAT UR GOAL IS? if going large scale then more smaller units would be better, if a smaller scale then the larger units would be better.

I disagree, I feel like my 180w led absolutely outperforms my old 400w hps, and if I were to rock +300w of led, that being one more panel, I would expect to see better results than my 600w hps grows. The only thing my hps can do better at than my leds is cover a larger footprint. The led company I roll with is pretty spot on when it comes to the information they put out...in fact, they give more info about their products and led technology in general than most other companies combined.

mind showing a pic of ur old HPS compared to ur led grow? i have yet to see a led light do this and have pics of both grows supporting this.

what people dont get is that HPS lamps and hoods will generally have a larger footprint then LED, however the LED concentrates a lot of light in one area. they may get 1 bigger plant from a 180, but a 400 with several even sized plants would prob be best.
