i do DTW and can go away for 14 days (probably longer if i had a bigger res)
another problem will be coming up with a nute recipe that is pH stable for that long. it took me a bunch of fiddling to get that dialed in

it will depend on your water source. i'm on well water. and your nutes.
not really a secret, but just base nutes seem to be stable for me: maxibloom and now jack's RO are very stable for me. any additives seem like they throw my pH out of range after a few days. so i only use them when i'm home
you'll have to test it in your setup. having a auto watering system is great but if you end up feeding at like 4 pH after the first 5 days, that isn't good either.

that system you put up looks good but i'd be worried with that clear tubing. i use black silicone aquarium tubing
I will be swapping it out sooner rather than later, the clear will promote algae with the light beating on it is that correct?

this is my DTW as @rkymtnman says the issue is having a large enough res for days away etc and large enough Runoff catch if you plan to have Runoff.
if you don’t dial back your nutrient strength you’ll get accumulation from lack of runoff @TheRealNG which could cause the binding of Ca and the delivery back of excess K from your coco to your plants.
I barely exceed 1.2EC (1200 for you) with 20% runoff but I feed multiple times per day and aim for a bucket full of runoff per day in my catch pan.

Yes I now realize I’ll have to dial back nutes as soon as the res is empty (have only been filling halfway) and I will cut down the nutes, I’m gonna try to set up a smart plug to have the irrigation system run for longer at a time to try to give me runoff. I’d much rather have it on a few times a day running 5-600ML of water rather than 24 times a day running 150ML
