So I've been growing for quite a few years now and feel like I have everything dialed in from the VPD chart to CO2,the list goes on and on and on. Now I have learned about the double ended HPS bulb. My question is will it be worth it as it stands now to substitute my thousand watt bulb for the double ended version. Previously have grown in a four and a half foot tent yielding around 2 lb per grow and just now this future grow am upgrading to a 5 foot tent that is just under 7 ft tall. As it stands I exhaust with outside of room air and all that so I don't think I will have any problems controlling the heat more so my Wonder is if it is really worth it to make the switch and if so what distance is I will need to keep away from the plant. From what I am reading I am looking at something like 30 inches away which will be no problem but just want to make sure before I start spending money

I appreciate the reply. As it stands essentially I have my thousand watt single end 20 inches from canopy with an extra 3 feet to spare on top. I tend to screen mine pretty low. Do you think that the double ended would need to be more than 4 ft away? I have heard somewhere between 30 in and 36 in
It is air cooled but i exhaust into the tent room to keep temps up around 82 and i plan to ge the sun system ac de hood and exhaust out of the room if neccesary. Also currentlg run a 500 cfm and can upgrade that if neccesary
