is 3000watts a red flag?

2000 watts at 12/12 and 600 watts at 18/6 and 2 fans inside each room and two 400cfm fans. is this under the radar? im at $0.06 a kwh.

Pay your bill, you wont have to worry. Power meter is rarely a problem unless you're stealing.

They just "4-5 months ago" installed an automatic meter. Apparently it sends the real time readings to the elec. co. over the power lines. Dunno if this will help them track usage. you know 2-3 1000w'ers may show a spike coming and going on a regular sched...... ???????

thats why you mix it up. see ima have 2 1k lights on 12/12 so ima have one go on at 6am and turn off at 6pm and the other turn on at 6pm and off at 6 am.

I run more wattage than your asking about with zero problems.

I'm running five 400 watters but I added them one at a time 2 months apart so I had a gradual electrical usage rise...Actually just want one for a little personal grow but this shit is addictive (Growin).. I took over one of the upstairs bedrooms and one walkin closet (total...68 hydro buckets) and now I am building a 8 X 12 flower room in the garage. Guess I need to order more lights LOL

The safest way to avoid power company noticing spikes and weird power patterns is to use flip floppers. Run your main wattage 24hr. If you run 4 1k lights, use 2 ballasts with flip floppers so there is no spike, every 12 hours it just switches rooms. Everything else and the veg room wouldnt be much of an issue after this. This way you can run 4 1k lights to flower, with a steady flow of 2k instead of 4kw spikes for 12 hours a day.

Digital meters are a bitch because they can detect spikes of 12/12 or 18/6 but chances are your flowering room lights will be your main power usage so if you can run them 24 hour and flip them theres no daily power spikes.

But the best thing to do is PAY ON TIME.

:peace:
