Is a cat-piss smell normal in last week of flower?

In my last week of flower & there is a strong smell like cat-piss that comes from the bitches. Kind of a skunky/cat-piss smell. kinda odd...thought i'd check opinions on this one. Nothing else unusual, looking very good other than the smell.

there is a strain called cat piss.. i dont know if its normal persay.. but i think you got "catpiss" in your lineage somewhere.. its good i hear

Cat piss generally means rot but if there is a strain out there that smells like cat piss i would go with a sweeter smelln bud. hope its the strain but give it a burn and post the results.

ehh i had some damp towels in there to up the humidity a bit & I think they might have been giving off the gnarly smell. when you touch the buds they smell just like they should though so I guess it's nothing to be concerned about. I don't think it's root rot b/c I only water once every 3 days & i'm in 3 gallon hempy style w/100%perlite & techna flora nutes.....you know, now that I think of it I just fed w/ a strong nute concentration (shit really stinks) & after that is when I noticed the funky smell. and negatory on the cat piss.

I've never smelled pot that smelled like cat urine. There's a strain of pot that smells like a skunk, though. </SPAN itxtvisited="1">

grayman Mar, 22 2008 at 09:28 PM first off, if it was bud, good for them, thats their constitutional rights. Secondly, cat piss scent without a cat is a common indication of manufacturing methamphetamine. Have you counted their teeth?

Here where I live there is a drought like no other, We have never seen it this bad EVER, I was told its because of the elections who knows, anyways the only thing that seems to be going around is this cat piss smelling stuff, We have never seen it before (or smelled it lol) but I told my boyfriend it smells like the liter box, I dont know what makes it smell like that Its not bad weed just stinks and sucks to smoke cause of the taste. I just want the shit that we never had a problem getting before to come back, and if the droughts due to the elections then I want them to be over ASAP. PS. Vote for Obama he likes to smoke pot and isn't afraid to admit that he inhaled </SPAN itxtvisited="1">

Yes, it is ammonia and I have seen it happen with weed that was not harvested and or dryed properly. I am not sure exactly how the ammonia is produced, but it definately seems to have something to do with drying. Also, I think that in SF they is ammonia added to the water so if you are using tap water that might be the problem as well. </SPAN itxtvisited="1">

oh yeah--I have had buds smell just like piss...and no there were no cats around. I think it is some form of ammonia in the weed....it smells sometimes like this when it is being cured--and if not cured long enough I have had some smell like cat piss. I do not use fertilizer so it was not from that either....just a natural thing but it is pretty nasty. </SPAN itxtvisited="1">
