Is a mother plant toast once she starts to flower?

no prob... just get her back to less time in darkness... what are your hours of darkness for her???

even if she is sprouting up preflowers here and there that is perfectly normal... just as long as you dont start to give her 10-12 consecutive hrs of darkness on a regular basis... then she should just stay in veg...

I got a momma that I lazily let get 12 hours for a few days when I had flowering plant with her and didn't feel like moving her out from under lights out. When I harvested I let her go 24 on again. I found out I hate revegging. Makes the plant grow ugly. I think my ladies ugly phase is almost over but if you do keep it as a mom prepare for it to be ugly for a couple weeks.

I was slowy cutting back on light for the plants that I'm putting outside, so that they wouldn't flower. In doing that, I noticed that my mother is flowering as a result of not being able to seperate them. Had them wiened down to 14 hours on and 10 off. I kicked the light back up to like 22 on and 2 off. I've been told, and have read that once a mother flowers... her genetics change and that she's no longer good to use as a mother. I don't mind her looking ugly. Just don't wanna waste my time w/clones that aren't going to produce as much or as potent.
