Is Anyone There?

admittedly a major drop over just 12 hours is not ideal but .3 is very reasonable. A lot of ppl consider the slow shift of ph a desirable effect in a system. This is mainly dew to the absorption rate of different nutes at different ph's. thus a slow drift between 6.5 and 5.0 or vice versa is not always a bad thing.

thanx but i was under the impression that when plant are feeding properly the ph would rise but all indications so far show a very vibrant lush plant with no obvious signs of deficiancy or nutelock. will be checking them again in a bit so we will soon see if ph has stabilised yet ....if not all i can think off is maybe root rot??????. thanx for advise....will post readings later tonight.

if your worried about root rot or pithium killing or decaying matter in your root system causing your Ph to
not stablize I would start using H202 at 7mil per gal every three days this will over time kill that shit.
only use it if you 100% inorganic

I have a bottle of h2o2 but yet to use it. It seems like an awful lot of fluid to be adding to my res. I am hoping my bubbler in my res tank will oxiginate the water a bit.

H202 is completly harmless to your plants I run 10ml per gal now!!
so your safe to use. just make sure its not the medical grade stuff,
you need 29% or better H202 from the grow store.

i've never understud the peroxide isn't that litterally injecting oxygen
i mean h2o2 when peroxide breaks down you get oxygen and water
in other words h20 the bubbles are oxygen
and there are spas that inject proxide into the human body because it helps cells regenbut everyone says bubbles bad
just curious

well unfortunatly my ph still dropped to 4.1 ,(big sigh). now going to try using ferro regional nutes as ive heard it doesnt need much if any ph down.....if still drops with that then will start adding h202 as roots still look healthy. will crack it one way or another lol.....big thanx for all the input....im takin it all in like a sponge

i wouldn't really worry too much about the ph drop if everything still looks nice and green and healthy, and the roots and nice and pure white with no signs of algae and or rot occouring, you should be ok ime.. just pay attention to the newest growth as that is where you should start seeing signs of any problems first.

thanks for tryin to put my mind a ease but i was always taught to let the plant tell u if its ok or not by leaf colour etc....even though all looks healthy and the only sign of problem may be slightly lighter new shoots i am very aware how quick it could go wrong with the ph dropping that low.....ferro nutes in now so will see if it stabilises or im gona give a quick tutorial on how to use a black n decker strimmer on problematic plants lol .

update.....changed to ferro nutes and ph is holding at 6.1 without the aid of any ph down, didnt put any in at all so im quite impressed at the stability of the nutes. thanx guys
