anything is personal choice....if u want a better smoke/ better taste then cure...i've smoked my buds right after drying and noticed a big difference from the ones i smoked a few weeks later.

SunnyD is right, the difference between uncured and cured buds is huge! When you here or read about bud tasting like pine, lemon, grapefruit, blueberry, strawberry, whatever other kind of fruit, and all the other flavors you see described it's always been cured. Buds that were just dried and not cured will always taste harsh, like you're smoking leaves or plants. This is because the plant's sugars, starches, and nitrates (all products of photosynthesis) haven't completely broken down yet. Once these break down it always you to experience the true taste of the buds.

One more thing since you couldn't hang dry your buds be very careful putting them into jars, it is likely that they are still moist on the inside. If you gently squeeze them you'll be able to tell if/how moist they still are. This is where most first timer growers get mold. Make sure those buds are getting air. Check them 2x a day everyday, it can happen FAST!!
