I just bought a portable air conditioner to cool my grow room and for now I am exhausting the heat it puts off through a dryer vent(don't have a window). But I noticed that it kicks out lots of heat, so I was wondering if I might be able to tap the exaust onto a duct in my basement to help ith heating my home in the winter. I figured this can help offset the cost for using the a/c, plus my house is really small so I think it could literally heat my house. So I am wondering if the air it exults is harmful in anyway?
Is exaust from portable a/c harmful?

As long as it isn't bring your co2 levels above 1800 ppm in the house you should be fine. I dump mine in the gerage ind it stays warm. But my lights heat the house now. And I pull the gerage air thru the lights into my house so almost the samething.
