Is ISIS the true manifestation of Islam?

Let me say upfront that I know most Muslims are not crazed like the ISIS gang is crazed. So, this thread is not meant as an indictment of Islam in general.

However, there are many thousands of ISIS style Muslims rampaging through the middle east, murdering innocent people, taking women as slaves, raping little girls, and just doing crazy shit. For every ISIS murderer there are bound to be many who believe and condone ISIS, so ISIS is not simply a tiny little cult amongst Muslims.

I know the progs will fall in here with "Christians are the worrisome ones..", "the Crusades...", "they don't want to let us abort babies...", etc. To them, I say go take a walk in Mosul and report back.

What say the rational people of RIU? If there are any Muslims amongst the RIU rabble, I would be particularly interested in their view point?

Its no secret at RIU that im married to a Lebanese woman & have been most of my life , while i am not Muslim my wife is , her family & friends have put her through hell for decades over marrying a Nasrani , even though her families dirty little secret is that they were once a Christian family before converting to Islam to avoid persecution by radicals , my deceased father in law used to call me an Infidel even though im a Christian & am not without a god , he was barely literate & I remember her explaining to him why i wasn't an Infidel ,he hated her being college educated & her mother would allways try & make her feel bad for not acting submissive twords her father & brothers .

My wife thinks much of the violence stems & is fueled by illiteracy rates within the religion itself , leaving many to rely on clerics with agendas for literal interpretation of the Quran , For me it makes sense when i imagine trying to lead my life according to the old testament while not being able to read most of it .

I dont think you'll find a single person who can justify the actions of ISIS or the existence of the group itself .
You make a very good point. There is a real problem with radical Muslim clerics preaching hate and Jihad to gullible young people and those just too dumb to know better. No disrespect intended but many Muslim clerics seem barely educated beyond the Qur'an themselves.

My compliments to you and your wife for holding it together in the face of family cultural pressures.

fixed it for ya.

i just wanted to restore some balance to your white supremacy rhetoric by slipping in a mention of the hatred that gets preached so widely and freely in this nation of ours.

say, why did you, as someone who doesn't smoke or grow, join our website just to spam us with your racial hatred for years on end?

So how do you feel about our war against ISIS so far? Would you call it a success? How much have we stopped their control? How many innocent bystanders have we killed that are NOT ISIS? Didn't that used to cause terrorists? How is it stopping them now?

Do you hate brown people?
Is ISIS the true manifestation of Islam? Does OP hate Muslims ? Do you hate Muslims. Was this piece of shit thread started to bash Islam ?

Islam is doing a marvelous job of bashing itself. Merely commenting on the murder and mayhem is merely commenting.

I'm still very skeptical of our purpose and goals re: ISIS. Since we've started our "crusade", we have made no difference in the strongholds ISIS has. Not one place have we made a difference.

We are also helping Assad who supposedly was gassing his people and needed to be taken out of power last year.

ISIS is fighting people we have bombed in the past but our helping now. The people ISIS is fighting is also getting bombed by our supposed allies.

Meanwhile the atrocities and genocide that have been happening in Africa for decades continue to go on without notice or care.

I'm with the turtle fucker on this issue. It's a civil war between groups that are our sworn enemies. I say we sit this one out and watch them kill each other.

If there really is a threat to the US, what is it? Who is it? ISIS? Brotherhood? Al Qaeda? Iran? Russia? The Joos? Are we really under threat of imminent attack?

If this were Bushney's war would the left still support it?

the KKK is a group of christians that racks up a long list of hate crimes every year.

merely commenting on the christian hate warriors is merely commenting on the christian hate warriors.

Most likely it was (the last ?)

Now, I don't know the answer to the rest of the questions, but why are you in favor of bombing ISIS?
Do you support Rand Paul?

I believe that sometimes USA USA USA should stop trying to change the world. I do believe we got plenty of homegrown problems to deal with.
Cool, so you agree with Ron "the turtle fucker" Paul instead of Rand "the possum head" Paul.

Why post the link mocking him then if you feel the same way he does?
