Is it almost ready to harvest??

Started week 9 of flower (not sure if the transition week counts but I flipped them to 12/12 on 08/16). I've been flushing for a few days now which if anyone has any advice to flush without making a mess that'd be great! Anyways here's some pics!!! First grow btw I have 4 tangies and 2 Tangie x CBD hybrids. The hybrids are huge and started growing more hairs I think after the bloom booster but I swore they were foxtailing for a minute there. Trichomws still look like 40-50% clear I think but mostly waiting for the buds to ripen up before I chop.

Well, u flush to remove like fertilizers in the plants, right? I dunno.
So then why not flush?

Thanks! @doughper I'm very eager to get these girls drying and cured!

and yeah I'm a bit confused on when to flush I guess. Should I keep feeding and decrease nutes? After first flush plants runoff was between 2200-2400ppm
 
I hope you get that i don't know about flushing or growing plants much at all. I just know how to smoke 'em. :bigjoint:

Flushing to remove nutrients from a plant doesn't work, it's broscience baloney. All nutrient uptake in plants occurs across a semi-permeable membrane. You can't take anything out of a plant once it's put in. You can flush your substrate to get rid of excess salts but you don't remove anything from the plant you are simply starving it.

Worse you're starving it during their final bulk, but it's your harvest and your plant. If you wish to reduce your yield, go for it.

Nice find on that research. There's kind of a lot of science out there on cannabis,
despite the gov't. not allowing research on cannabis, which WHY? i have no freakin' idea!

The graphs don't really show a lot of diff, until they examined taste, and that's not a lot
of diff. Thing i got from it was flushing is more trouble than it's worth. I dunno, hell, I can't read
out of one eye and i'm blind in the other, so wtf, over? Their conclusions were as follows:
In a first of its kind study, Rx Green Technologies evaluated the effects of flushing period
on yield, potency, terpenes, mineral content, and taste characteristics of Cannabis flower. Overall,
the length of the flushing period did not impact yield, potency, terpenes, or taste characteristics of
Cannabis flower. Taste test results indicated a trend toward improved flavor and smoke quality with
the zero-day flush. While there were no significant differences in nutrient content, there was a trend
toward increased iron and zinc in flower flushed for 14 days. The results of this trial indicate that there
is no benefit to flushing Cannabis flower for improved taste or consumer experience.
