is it not good to grow sativa's in new york?

Why wouldn't it be a good idea?

inside no problem if you got the space and lighting. outside maybe not so good as it gets mighty cold there and the ladies would not have time to finish as most sativa leaning ladies need plenty of time often way past turkey day

Well the guy wrote a note and this is what it said

Sativa dominate 80/20

Flower for 7-9 weeks

Soak in h2o for 12 hours
Place in paper towel to moist not dripping wet.

Place in paper towel w/ seeds inside on a warm spot, oven or DVR box or cloths dryer

Germinate rate is some where in the 80% range, not real good but good enough were 10 will get you 8 seedlings.

These are a F2 so you may get a really tall stretchy plant or you may get a nice bushy bulky one, who knows

I don't know the yield yet as i have only had one harvest so far and wasn't disappointed with it.

Its parents are a HeadBand male, Clone straight from Oregon I personally saw taken with my own eyes, and a Chocolope female,

that should be a great strain to grow! I mean with the f2 situation you are right you wont know what youre going to get. but both are def not small plants either way. again you rocking those inside or out?

Sativas tend to be more equatorial whereas indicas tend to do better at more temperate locations.

That's the only thing I can even think of that makes sense. Even so, you can grow sativas outdoor at our longitude. In WA where I am, they do just fine and we are pretty close.

Should have started it inside and put outside to finish, think if done right should have lot's of time to finish.. if started in july he might not have had enough time

i think its fine, 7-9 weeks will finish, im in ny and im planning to harvest at 9 weeks, on week 8 right now, no sign of frost anytime soon, and if so ill just cover them with some sheets.

Does this help it weather the cold?

Yeah, up to a point. Any landscaper will tell you to add mulch around your plants to help them weather a cold snap. Ground temps tend to change a lot slower than do air temps. It will give you a couple of weeks or so.
