hey guys just wondering if its ok for an indoor plant (seedling in my case) to be outdoor on a sunny day because i think the sun would provide more lumens than my cfls today, obviously making sure the hours of light are still correct and then bringing it in when the sun is about to go down and continue lighting with my cfls.

plants have to adjust to being outside so i would say not too. it trips it out when you go back and forth

There are VERY few indoor only seeds. If it can't be grown outdoors I really think there is something wrong with the strain.

IMO its either all in or all out

all that moving is likely to stress it too much and you're risking braking branches no one wants that

I would never expose my indoor garden to pests and diseases of the great outdoors...As a matter of fact, after working in my outdoor garden, I wash my hands, take off my shoes and socks, and change my pants before working on the indoor garden.

I tried this out wiith 1 of my 2 plants, I have been putting the same one outside1-2 times a week duing my Veg period for about 8 hours a time, then back under Cfl's. My result is about 1" taller & 1.5" wider in comparison to my plant of the same age, same conditions that has only been under Cfl's. IMO go for it, try it out! Not like life depends on it.

Your plants are gonna love outside. They'll be getting fresh air (and important co2) and plenty of light. If you can slip your plant out for some outside time, go for it.
