Is it ok to use perlite by mg?

I heard it is good to mix perlite in with the soil. I went to the store, and asked for perlite, and all they had was mg perlite. But i hear on here that using anything by mg is not advised.
Does it matter what brand of perlite you use?

Just soak/wash it and it works fine, reason is it has nutes in it that can cause problems

I just pour it into a spagetti strainer (colander thingy) and pour gallons of water over it

I just got my blue mystic seeds in today and 1 freebie "the church" feminized seed. I put the freebie to germinate today so i should be seeing it open up in a day or 2. I'm going to put it outside. I want to put in my tent, but it's too small for 2 plants to be side by side. So outside it goes with the others.
Outside i have 12 plants going on beautifully.
I will post pics of them on friday.
Oh, how the hell can i see my post & it's replies without having to dig it up thru the forums? I know in the old site it had this page where it would tell you how many hits and replies you get.

i use mg soil and as long as your careful with ur feeds theres no problems with mg stuff, never ever had nute burn.
