Is it okay to manipulate\bend during flower?

Is it okay to bend and lightly maneuver cola branches during flower without zero negative effects? Like say a sativa/sativa hybrid with long spindly side branches? I MEAN pulling her with some string (lightly) almost so she is completely on her side running parallel with the light?

you want to not add any unneeded stress to the plant during flower that bieng said you might have to bend the branch so as not to burn or bleach said branch wich would cause more prolonged stress than bending the branch once.so do it if you need to dont if you can raise light or something else to solve the problem.

Puf n sfuf yeah figure on the stress part as much, but you are correct about my hight restrictions , im slightly bending my mains inches to the side or downward see, because im only working with 5 or so feet from floor to light, so training techniqes are a must for me.

Bend away! I try to plan well enough so my ladies do not grow up into the light, but shit happens, eh? Bend freely up until 2-3 weeks left before harvest. Besides keeping them from getting toasted you can get increased yield with smart bending. If you don't do any topping or FIM'ing during veg period you likely will have one big center cola with wall-to-wall buds the top foot or so. If you bend her early enough the w-t-w buds will grow perpendicular to the branch. That allows for a lot more bud growth as the nugs will grow towards the light and not remain buried along the main stem. Obviously it is a good idea to bend the branch so that it flops TOWARDS the light or a very slight angle to the light. The better you orient the buds to the light the bigger those buds can get. Good luck, BigSteve.

Yep I bend, tuck, crop and trim and don't see negative affects. As previously said as long as you are bending with a purpose it's worth it to get more light exposure

Have you ever heard of topping, supper cropping and LSTing? I bend, twist and supper crop my plants clean up until harvest although I don't have to do so much while blooming because I've done the work earlier. One thing about supper cropping early is that the branches tend to correct themselves. That's when you hang some weight on the branches to maintain the bend and structure you've set. It's an art that has to be developed over time, eventually you'll get a feel for it.

you can bend them over and tie them in place to restrict the height and open up the structure a bit
this will not harm the plants

As long as its not to woody it should be ok. After about 4 weeks they frame up and the stems go hard which is easy to break and split.
