Is it possible to get 2-3 lbs from a 4x4

Or go vertical up one (or 2) sides, with the netpot installed right into the floor, and the res/container down below..

Tbh I hadn't thought of cutting a hole in the floor and putting my hydro buckets UNDER the tent vs inside, this is legit a great idea. I can use the old mars hydro since I dont care about cutting a few holes in the base....

Do it with a sideways with an extended gorilla tent, sitting on top a 4x8 flood tray & panel overtop it, using it like a shallow water culture res, with lots of air lines or even sprayers. Install like 4-500+ little 1 inch netpots into it, right through the bottom (or should i say side fabric) of the tent. Fill her up with high yielding clones, and run 12/12 from transplant. Boom, 4 lbs + every run! Still have around 2' between the lights and canopy.

I almost cut huge holes in the floor of my flower room when I designed it, and was gonna install 2 RDWC systems all plumbed up under the floor. Was gonna have to frame it up a little better though. Basically drop the containers right down in like a sink in a countertop, so the upper rims and lids were flush down to the floor. I only got about 6' of height in there, and it would make a world of difference!. Problems is, My grow op is built into a mobile RV trailer, and up a little bit on wheels. I would have to be able to pull it all back up if I moved it anywhere, and insulate it really well somehow in the winter.

Even if you quit using it like that, just toss the flood liner back over the holes, right? ;)

I bet if you cut the holes with the right sized heated up metal can (properly sized a tad smaller than the netpot lip), it would melt the perfect hole, and and also fuse the mylar film/tent fabric materials together at the same time, so they don't rip out or seperate in anyway.. Get a tight fit

tbh dont need holes, just a cross slit to stick the stem through, Will build a 4x4 wood frame of some kinda to hold everything with enough supports to hold the tent. This is genius I can keep all the light/heat off the modules as well as easier to run the hydro tubes on the ground vs out the tent holes.

really owe you one, this is a significant improvement for me and I can still use a 4x4 trellis inside the tent to support the girls.

Snag a free 4' x 4' or close enough coffee table with legs, from someone off the marketplace/classifieds, and cut the openings for the plant container lids out in the top, and good to go! Ads your slits and set the tent right over it. You'll have support going all the way around, for the tent framing. For free ;)

oh i've got plywood etc to make frames, I wanna put some casters on it so I can roll it away from the wall as well. Some great ideas in here!

Each strain has Its own traits {some are heavy yielders/some fit certain environments better/some are tall / short and etc].

i think its possible with a scrog, co2, and proper lights. last summer i did a 4x8 and pulled over 5 lbs dry. i used 2 hlg scorpion diablo lights. co2 at 1500 ppm and used promix/peat for the medium. so thats 2.5 lbs of dry flower per 4x4 area.

I have ran 26 in 1gallons (started as 32 but males and 2 herms) and as few as 9 in 5gallons in my 4x4 under a 450w mars hydro led. I end up around the same yield between 1-1.5lb

one of my next runs I will do four or less (it's always such a tough decision for me as I tend to develop strain tolerance very quickly, so I like to have several options to mix it up) to see if there is a huge advantage in yield but I tend to believe you are limited more by the light, environment and your lst/hst ability than anything. Also the more plants you put in the more you have to 'work for it' where as when I did the 9 it was drama free easy as could be when I did the 26 it was a nightmare with RH issues, training was nearly impossible as they were all packed in like sardines, if when you needed to get to a specific plant it was near impossible without removing half the tent in some cases.. then getting them back in the same way forget it.. In hindsight I should have just grown them as spears and took off all side branching but yea, I didn't..

I am currently running 14 in 3gallons and I think unless I veg for less time my future runs will have less plants.. depending on grow method, veg time and your ability I think 9-12 (or less) is a better number..
