ok this i my first crop and their doing ok, couple weeks out till flowering stage, but I do notice that through the entire process there are always a couple of yellow leaves that dry up and fall off the the rest of the plant keeps reaching for the stars and looks very healthy, so I was wondering if it is even possible to not have "any" yellow leaves?

It might be possible i really dont know, A long while back when growing artichokes I learned a very important piece of advice dont worry about the older lower leaves watch the new growth that is where problems are worse, also if the leaves get no light, they do no photosynthesis, no photosynthesis no green, therefore yellow...

It's natural for them to shed off the lower leaves, especially when you start to flower. I wouldn't worry.

You can grow with no yellow leaves, but you really need to know what you are doing.
If your plants have ideal conditions the leaves will keep green.

Fan leaves store energy. When your plant needs more energy then it is able to make at a certain point he uses up its storged energy.
When your leaves turn yellow it means the plant sucks up the energy out.
When a leaf goes yellow its not effective anymore. however, when its completely yellow it will probably fall on its own.
If theres still a bit of green in it the plant could still use it and its stupid to pluck it out.
I pluck out only leaves that comes off really easly and are completely yellow \ brown.

In soil i can't imagine a grow without any yellowing.
In hydro inside a controlled enviroment it should be possible.

also at the end of their flowering during a flush you should aslo see yellowing leaves this is the plant telling you "smoke meeeee!"

I would also point out that it is POSSIBLE to have sex with a supermodel every night however that is VERY unlikely to happen(even if you were married to one)

I would only recycle soil if you add it to a compost pile and let it compost for a season. there are just too many damn things living and decaying in the soil to reuse it straight away. Lets face it you are trying to grow at least decent bud here. Why not give it a fighting chance with new fresh rested soil or compost.

I know I tend to spend an average of 10-15 bucks per bean for good beans why not spend 15-20 bucks on good dirt... or just go hydro...
