Is it possible to have too much light?

I have done some outdoor grows in the past and thought I would like to give indoor a try using CFL’s. The area I have started with is about 11 cubic ft with ebb & flow hydro and six-105w 6500k full spectrum CFL’s on a 24hr on-cycle for the vegetation period. Based on the spec sheet for the lights this would provide about 30,000 lumens. I plan moving the plants to a larger area and changing the bulbs to 2700k for flowering. I have been looking at the various setups on this site using CFL’s and for the most part all seem to be providing considerably less light. This started me to question if I was overdoing the amount of light, I was providing. I have attached two pictures of my set-up, one with the lights on and, the other with lights off. Any thoughts or suggestions?

setup looks pretty nice man. most of us have cords hanging out of rubbermaids with our cfl grows .. as long as heat is ok and the lights are not too close to the seedlings for the first bit of growing i think your going to kick some arse with that!

YES YOU definately can have too much light, what you have wil lbe fine but, when a plantstarts to obtain too much light it will start blocking out the light
causing a lockup and a little thing called light burn

Thanks for everyone's comments, heat has been a problem so I have added two fans. The temp has been staying at 88F which I hope is not to high.
Batman407 I bought the lights on-line from 1000Blubs.com for $32.25 each that was for the 6500K they have the 5000K one's for $22.86 each. That price is for 6 or more.

its it totally possible to poison your plants with light. This mostly only refers to seedling and young clones. because alot of times their is not enough leaf area to handle to much light. You will notice this by the leave curling under because the plant trys to hide its leaves from the light.

i envy ur set up...but yeah i wouldnt worry about too much light...like said before just keep the lights a good distance while the plants are young, once they get into veg you probably dont have to worry about too much light haha...and 88 is a little on the higher side but i've heard that if its under 90 its still okay, i think 78 is idea...my room stays at around 80 and at night i just open up the window in my room and some of the cool air circulating usually drops the temp 2 or 3 degrees...dropping the temp is good for the dark cycle (if you use one before flowering) my suggestion is if you have a window anywhere in the room just crack it open during dark time and let some of that cool air leak in and it should be enough to make the babies happy as clams ha
