Is it possible???? How long does it take to see the effects if it does go into shock? I transplanted 5 hours ago from a 3 gallon to a 5 gallon and can see no difference

lol you just starring at the plant? it wont change with you watching, they are shy plants.
if you water good, tip upside down or on side you can pull the pot off the root ball. all the soil should stay together in the shape of the pot you took off. transplant that without disturbing the root system and it will have no shock at all.

My plants don't stress out when I transplant them. Quite the opposite...

Just don't go ripping up the root mass and don't water with super hot or cold water and no stress should really occur. Unless you drop the fucking plant on its head or something.

They're pretty tough, like Peyote said......
I actually score the bottom of mine to create 4 quarters that go about 1/3-1/2 way up, and spread them out over a cone of fresh soil in the middle of new pot and mine do fine.
I have even done them as far as 3 weeks into flower so far.
