Is it possible...

Is is possible to keep a plant under like two feet by keeping it in like a 4inch diameter, 5inch in height pot and still get product. Essentially a mini plant?

I just had a plant no more then two inches fully budding if that tells you anything. Sadly I had to delete the only photos I had of it due to someone using my digicamera and I didn't actually keep the plant because it was a waist for me but yeah its very much possible.
