Is it possible??

I ordered seeds from AMS. A 10 pack of White Widow. A 10 Pack of Bianca. A 10 Pack of Thai x Skunk.

White Widow grew like crazy off the very 1st seed. I now have a solid mother with her and the clones are growing great. (I think! Im a noob)

I got a Bianca seed to grow, but not strong. Small stem, not bushy. Moved to Flower anyways, ended up being a male. Atleast it germinated.

Thai x Skunk is my problem. I am on my last 3 seeds in a cup of water for 24 hours now. No seeds opened out of the 3 yet. All 7 prior did not ever open.

Is it a Genetic problem? Is it the quality of seed from AMS? Obviously I will not be ordering those again. But any info is helpful.

Either way, if these 3 dont open, I have 3 available containers, so I will likely order Buddha Cheese femanized from single seed centre. Seems like its cheaper to have a known good female seed than playing roulette with non fem seeds. Only risk is, if Im doing something wrong germinating and that seed doesnt germ. I just do like I read. Put the seeds in a cup of water. haha.

if your cloning why not just take a few more? no seeds needed.....

try the paper towel method. Works 100% for me.

Its a different strain. Thai x Skunk is what Im having the problem with. But once I get 1 female, thats what I'll do.

Can I do the paper towel method after having them in water for a day and a half? Or am I better off putting them in the rockwell cubes and seeing what they will do?

Still no seeds opening.

Does anyone else besides AMS sell Thai x Skunk? I'd still like to try it. If it is the quality of seeds (none of the 10 pack germinated), would there be better quality (preferably feminized) from a different breeder?

Are you using room temp tap water in a clean container?

I've done the paper towel method after a soak
also, sometimes warmth (70-80º) helps the seeds germ

I let the water sit in the room for about an hour before i put the seeds in.

and for what it's worth, fuck rockwool + seeds. we did an experiment and the seeds in rockwool were severely stunted in comparison to those started in a paper towel/soil.
it was a small control group though. only one of each. hahaha

AMS Thai x Skunk isnt even on the list. haha. Maybe it was just a bad choice on my part

Wish everything grew like White Widow. I still have most of a 10 pack of Bianca. See how it goes. Ill try 2 in paper towel and 2 in water. If they dont grow like White Widow, ill probably order something else from a single seed place. Like Blue Cheese or something people have success growing.

Im not pissed, out of the 3 packs I bought, Thai x Skunk was the cheapest. I was just drawn to claims of if smoked enough it had psychedelic effects.

I'd still like a good mostly Sativa plant with psychedelic effects if anyone has a recommendation....

For what its worth. I have 2 very good White Widow mothers. So atleast that pack worked out great. Ill let you know how Bianca turns out.

I use rockwool because Im using bubblers. Not growing in soil.

LOL that is absolute nonsense
Rockwool works just as well as any other medium to germinate seeds
in fact it's much more suited to the job than a paper towel

SOO, Should I not even put the seeds in a paper towel or glass of water? Just straight into the Rockwell cube?

Mine did not open after putting it in a shot glass so I just planted it in dirt and it grew. Did the seed sink or just float?

So far my AMS Bianca seeds have all sunk, but have not sprouted yet. Gonna put them into a papertowl today. They have been in a glass of water since yesterday afternoon.
I have pretty much given up on AMS seeds though. I have already ordered seeds from Alibongo in case these dont grow.
I ordered more well known strains hoping to get better results.
I got Dinafem - Critical Kush Feminized
TH Seeds - Burmese Kush (BUKU) Fem'd
Big Buddha - Silver Cheese Fem'd
Big Buddha - Blue Cheese fem'd
and they threw in 2 free Delicious Seeds - Fruity Chronic Juice FREE. Seems like a cool place. Great communication so far. See how the seeds look when I get them. I hope to do a grow Journal on one of them.

So, they had 24 hours in a glass of water. They are now in paper towels.

How long should I give them in paper towels to sprout before I give up on them?

Mine is white widow. Plant them once they sink.
