is it time for flowering?

A couple things, this is your last chance to repot, I would consider it since this will help improve your yield. Do you have perlite in there? re-potting would give you a chance to add some, unless for some reason you do not need it with coco(I have never used it so don't know).

As the rest stated, 90 is a bit hot unless you are supplementing CO2 your growth will be stunted for most strains.

don't think i should repot, my medium is 8 gal and i don't have much room for a big yielding plant..
as i said, my organic soil mix came with coco in it and i added some tuff to it as well.. i think it should be enough..

i know 90 pushes the limit but the climate where i live is extremely high - gets over 100F..
also i'm limited with what i can do to control it, i can't drill/cut any more holes out of my closet for installing bigger fans..
so heat control is definitely an issue..

i'll try and adjust the light cycle to work during nighttime, also my AC is working almost non-stop as well so i guess that should help with keeping the temps down..
right now its 88.6F..

can anyone please explain or refer me to good explanation of how the CO2 helps with heat control or as i understand helps the plant to adapt better?

oh and my strain is AK47, from what i could find on Google it supposed to be quite a resilient? anyone can confirm?

Ok so tell me how would using Co2 help him? He is using 3 32w CFL's!
All Co2 would do is make the plant explode in growth, not a good thing when your heat is too high, space is small and you are only using CFL's.
All that it would do is make the light that much more ineffective.
He would end up with tons of leaves and tons of airy popcorn bud with no density.

Sure strains have much different tolerances to heat and cold.
But I know of none that do well in constant heat above 90.
Maybe you know of a few but im sure that's not what he is growing.

His money would be much better spent of a $20-$100 fan rather then a $250+ Co2 system IMO.
I just think he should work on getting the basics down before adding something like Co2.
We are in the newbie forum after all.

hey budfever, thanks for ur input, seems like you know a thing or two..

as i said on the above post to hbbum, drilling more holes or installing bigger fans in my closet are unfortunately not an option..
i try to keep the AC on as much as possible and change the light cycle so lights would be on during nighttime here..
right now it's 88.6F with lights on..

as i stated in my initial post my strain is AK47, as i understand its supposed to be quite resilient to heat, am i wrong?

quick update and an off-topic question..

just realized i got mushrooms growing in my pot..

1.jpg2.jpg3.jpg

so after some reading, i understand this might actually be quite beneficial to the plant..
i see some more hiding in the soil, so now i'm not so quick on plucking them all out..

so does anybody know more about this phenomenon and/or can identify this type of mushroom?

CO2 will make the plant be able to withstand the higher temperaters. It goes down to the cellular level. Thats allhe was sayin. The butt hurt poster who keeps arfuing that point is ignorant on the subject of co2. Like if i had. Closet grow in the low 90s they would do okay but not as good as one in he low 80s high 70s. The co2 in the 90s would help amend that heat stress and the plants will do amazing. But it takes almost a constant supply of co2 at a certain time to work properly. Thats all he wa saying. Suggesting. Your best bet is your little ac and fans and night time growing.

There is tons of co2 outside though. I use nightime air to cool the box when its on. Temps never go highr then 82. If i did it during the day it would be almost 100. So the nighttime helps so much as well.

thx newbie9,
so far i managed to get temps down to 86.5 while lights on during nighttime..

btw, are u familiar with that mushroom issue i mentioned above?

I mean they themselfs could benifit the grow grow but personally i wouldnt leave them due to some mushrooms being toxic. Do you know the species of mushrooms they are? If not i would just out them and use some other organic fertilizers. The risk of other bad fungi gives me the hebie jeebies.

unfortunately i don't know what type of mushroom this is.. that is why i posted the pics, hopefully somebody here could identify..

the problem with mushrooms is that plucking them won't help get rid of the problem since there's a whole network going underneath..
i guess there's no point of worrying about something u can't do much about.. or can i..?

If you got mushrooms, you got mold, too.
