Is it time to water my seedlings?

I wouldnt water the cup from the bottom too much soil vs small plant roots haven't stretched enough in that larger amount of soil taking longer to reach roots. First week or two during seedling stage water small amounts at root zone. I'll start in pots half the size of solo cups and water from the bottom. If in organic soil and not using liquid nutrients what are you sucking back in, organic matter and water lol. Now using liquids with salt and nutrient build up use a saucer and pot elevator 20% run off thatll save from ever having to flush, for new growers that may over feed.

What I did before understanding proper watering methods starting in solo cups or starter pots was I'd mist 8 to 15 times or so on each side of plants base. I would also keep a sandwich bag over cup retaining humidity and soil moisture. You cant do that with quality light too close you'll dampen plants off. I veg in a closet with a 165 watt blurple or in a 3x3 with florescent and eye hortilux tubes. Not enough power to dampen off. I'd make my plants pass 3 test before watering.
1- does the top soil look dry if yes
2- does the top soil feel dry, meaning if you gently touch it does it move around easily, if yes lastly
3- if top soil looks and feels dry does the soil directly underneath look and feel dry. If yes then I'd mist again.
When I had to mist more than 2ce in one day I'd either mist more or water small amounts half shot glass to shot glass at plants base. Once I had to do that more than once a day then I'd fill the cup in a circumference around cups edge until slight run off. I'd transplant autos in 3 weeks I leave photos in starter pots for a month.

I'll water from bottom with mycorrhizae, fulvic acid, worm juice or fish poo highly diluted or kelp me kelp you, microbrew or wholly mackeral diluted, sometimes plain tap Starting around end of seedling stage. I do have to change seedling trays a few times to keep clean
First 2 are autos at 2 weeks third are 21 days ready for transplant I'll leave the water most of the day but will change trays if they dont suck it up before lights out

Seedlings popped up on May 21.

Watered till run-off on May 22
(weighed cups at 200-220g)

Today May 27th (weight 150-160g)

Soil (ocean forest)

Time to water? Or wait?

Any other tips based on pictures?
Thanks!!!

If you’re in fresh soil.. treat it like organics. Just water. No need to even ph yet. That tap root should be nearing the bottom of the cup, but like I said.. it can be treated as organic for at least 2 weeks in the cup of fresh ocean forest. No need to water til runoff just yet. A shot glass should do in that size container. After 2 weeks, I’d either transplant, or start getting some runoff. Transplant = fresh soil = water only for a few weeks more.

^^^^ agree no need to ph if in organic soil until the soil is depleted and you start a liquid nutrients feeding regiment if you use liquids

I have personal experience on what your feeling right now. Im 4 weeks into my first grow and i definitely over watered my plants in the first 2 weeks. Best thing to do is wait until soil dries up first. Trust me its super easy to love them way to much and want to water them every 5 seconds! If you stick your finger in the soil and its still damp a few inches down then keep waiting until it is dry. Lol as hard as that might be.

Yea I waited almost a full week & gave them 44ml (one shot glass) each today. I'll definitely wait a full week again & make sure its dry ;) :D
