is it too late to add bone-meal??

i planted my beauties about a month ago.

i used pro-mix BX with dolomite lime ,

i now have some bone meal,, i know its better to add the bone-meal to the soil mix before you plant but, if i just spinkle some on top of the bed will it help or should i just leave them be??
