Is it wise to cut the upper leaves during flowering?

The best SOG i've witnessed was doing under 1.2, with each light covering about 16 sq.ft. His beds are 40' x 4'. He has more than a dozen of these and gets between 2.2 and 2.6 pounds per light, depending on strain.

Making claims half again his yields really seems unlikely. His canopies are amazingly dense. Obviously quality is important, and he does remove lower growth very early in flowering(sort of lollypopping but on 12" clones).

*sigh* why do I have to keep defending my posts and pics ???? honestly .... Look at those Fruity Chronics and try to honestly tell me you dont think those yielded 28-32 grams per plant dry. The plants were touching each other while growing too. My pictures say a heck of a lot more then the lips flapping in this thread I can say that much is for certain. What kind of proof is it you expect? A video of me cutting one down , drying it, cutting it up then weighing it? Sure we just need a 7 day long video to give this crazy proof you guys demand. Anyone growing SOG dense plants can tell those plants yielded exactly what I said they did. No BS needed. I have ZERO reason to BS people on this board. I come on here to share and gain knowledge nothing else. I like to help and be helped. I hate it when people get all out of shape when you are just posting up facts.......

WTF are you ragging on me now too ? I live in reality. What you are doing now is no different then all the people calling BS on getting over 1.5 gram per watt. Just because you cant doesnt mean other people dont. Yes outdoor. I have been doing outdoor for over 5 years. Thanks for calling BS on me though for no reason at all. You could have just asked questions or similar. So many fragile egos around here it isnt even funny. "MY Train Wreck doesnt even get that so no way yours could" . Its like a funny farm almost. =)

FYI mine is a 1K bulb for every 4X4 as well. Strain makes all the difference too. I can do it exactly the same and yield 10 grams per plant with some strains I have worked with. Instead of calling BS people should ask more questions so they can duplicate. Was the point of my post to begin with. Oh well.

The most extreme example of success with this technique was with a clone only Skunk Hybrid that I really wanted to save. It was originally a sickly clone that didn't grow at all for nearly three months(mid April to mid July). It finally started growing and ended up producing a 1/4 pound. We tried some quick dried buds, and it became imperative to try to save it. I'd already removed about 60% of the foliage. The roots extended more than four feet from the stalk. I put it into a five gallon pot, under 18/6, with florescent bulbs. It vegged all winter, and when placed in the garden in early March, produced a nice crop of fluffy but stony buds. What I didn't get in this exchange is your defensiveness. I offered you a way to minimize the damage.

Pot growers should go to jail if they sell it. You know someone that is sick than give them some why sell it. A true pot grower would never sell it. ( NEVER ) And I don't know why everyone has to fight over this crap. Hell, growing MJ is like making love ( everyone does it their own way ).
