Nothing beats DWC veg times/growth, thats for sure you can grow plants alot bigger and a lot quicker in veg with DWC vs Soil . however flower times are the same and you cant be lazy with DWC its a lot of work if you arent running recirculating or 1 or 2 plants.. anything over 5 DWC buckets , have fun.

Imo it's very subjective. I love to tinker with hydro hardware, so for me it's definitely worth it. There are soil growers however who get outrageous results. If you are deep into the organic groove, that is easier with soil. It depends on how you like to garden.

They veg faster. You have more control over the grow with hydro. But you also run the risk of more problems. Keep some soil plants and try a hydro run. I wouldn't buy a setup. I would build my own.

I would try one in a 5 gallon bucket. Not to much to invest in and if you don't like it no big deal. Its definitely more work, I'm on my first dwc grow so I can't really say the pro's and con's yet...although its seeming to veg pretty quick, just expect to do more work

Hydro vs soil

I have grown in dirt for 10 years and switched to RDWC back in Feb. IMHO there is no comparison, RDWC wins big time. I need 12 to 20 plants in dirt to = 2 in RDWC. I just started and am getting 1/2 per plant, as for taste and all that good stuff 90 of that is done in curing. It is a little harder till you get it nailed down but last grow I was so busy I just top-loaded the system (just added to the res) and never changed the res for 9 weeks. I have plant limits so this is the only way to fly.
