I told you to wait to water. That is the solution, if there is one. Wait until it doesn't weigh anything. Soil is not heavy when dry.

Don't just let the top dry out, this is where you're making the mistake. Wait until it is dry throughout the medium.

That soil is draining so it will prolly be hard when it dries.

Cannabis thrives in an oxygen rich medium.

Get it out of that mud. You need potting soil.

If you mixed potting soil with yard dirt, why not just use the potting soil in the first place.

never seen any seedling die because the shell didn't fall off
the risk of a newbie killing the seedling by pulling the shell off is a lot higher

I don't know why you would buy good seeds have shipped to you then stick em in an aluminum can with dirt from your yard. If you have more seeds hold off on planting them, get the shit you need to grow properly otherwise your just wasting your money. We all have to start somewhere. Every grower on this forum has fucked things up along the way. There's tons of info in this forum and some top notch growers that are willing to help new growers, but you need to make an effort to learn the basics. good luck
