Is my cloner working?

Built an aeroponic cloner similar to the ex cloner. Have had clones in there for 7 days. No roots at all yet, leaves are still green and upright which to me seems good because they aren't wilted and dead. Should I keep on waiting? Thought I would see something at a week.

Ive waited 3 weeks before...but not hydro, Just keep the humidity up and be patient. Go smoke a bong or something

It is a waiting game to a certain extent.... Make sure it is humid in there, and also, make sure the water inside the cloner isnt too cold, or too warm... I use an Aquarium heater in mine during the winter... Its too cold... Summertime, unless you got good AC, its hard to clone... They dont like the Really warm water... YOu want it @ 75 Deg

My first clones took over 3 weeks to start showing roots. I'll be more patient next time, but it was driving me crazy the first time.

In aero they certainly seem to at least be showing bumps within a week, some root in less time. some strains won't root at all or very very difficultly , I just found northern lights (at least the clones I got) are very difficult, I had like 1 in 7 make it.

Thanks for the info guys. I think my water was too cold, so I just bought an aquarium heater for $14 that regulates the temp and keeps the water at 78 degrees. I will let you all know if it makes a difference in a few days!

make sure light is not getting to the water and don't put nutrients in the water either. If light gets in the water it can cause algae to grow and will rot the stem.If you add nutrients then the plant will not grow roots because instead of growing roots and looking for nutrients you would be supplying it. Try just plain water no light to the roots.make sure you use root hormone like normal. It should only take two weeks. the bigger the clone the better.

Yeah thats exactly what I have been doing. I put some clone gel on them when I first took them but the water washed it off pretty fast. Do I need rooting gel mixed in with the water or am I supposed to re-apply it at all?

Ok checked today and they are finally showing some white bumps in a couple spots! I honestly think that my problem was that the water was too cold

It is a waiting game, I have an ezcloner's and I have it hooked up to a water chiller that keeps the temps approximately 70-73 degree's. I also put Clonex solution in water (as per directions) & use rooting gel. I been seeing roots it about 7-10 days depending on strain. My room temps r about 74-76 all the time. Do you have a thermometer, to check water temp? Just be careful with the aquarium heater's, my friend accidently melted the bottom of her reservoir. peace

IMG_0128.jpgIMG_0129.jpgJust wanted to let you guys know how they turned out, I have 3 out of the 4 that made it and are doing great in soil with healthy roots! The last one started to turn brown a bit on the end with no root growth so I cut the brown part of the stem off, re-dipped in cloning gel, and am trying it again. Thanks for all of your help!
