Ok so i have one norther lights that i had pop 8 days ago and she looked like she was growing really slow and is a rather lighter green then i though norther lights are supposed to be. Any advise on if shes healthy or if somethings wrong with her would be greatly appreciated. Info is i have her under a 400w mh thats about 2 and a half feet from her top leaves and temps are between 70 and 90 depending on the weather outside. (Were i am right now we get really cold nights for this time of year) Oh one other side question when should i start her fert? I have 20 20 20.

Looks healthy to me. What type of soil are you using? It depends on your soil for when to start feeding. I'm still pretty new, so I'm not certain whether 20-20-20 would be appropriate. I'm leaning towards no as I know she's gonna need different amounts of nutes depending on what stage she is in. But it may work as supplemental nutes if your soil is good.

She looks great, I personally think that much wattage and that close for a sprout is to much(to intense) I feel it stresses her, but she looks like it's not bugging her. On the food I would just fill up that container with some soil and let her grow until she starts to show signs that she's hungry. 20-20-20 is really really hot for a sprout, it would have to be super diluted. Make sure you don't over water her either let her drink up most of what she already has. Airflow is always a plus they show appreciation for it I tiink.

O thanks i must just be impatient. I was curious though how do you know if something is going to be hot or not in terms of fert? Also in terms of light i have a 90w led ufo if that would be better for her i could try it out just not sure how close i can get it to her with out it frying her its odd i know but i noticed it cooked my last clone at longer ranges then my 400w mh or hps.

That light would be perfect but I think dropping her over 300watts would piss her off better to not risk it. Like I said it's not forbidden an the sun puts a hell of a lot more any ways so their capable I just like to ease them into the world since I'm not giving her a natural enviornment. The fert burn you can tell by the tips of the leaves will be crispy how far depends on how hot. Just a little tiny burn is ok but much more and it could be damaging the roots.

It's looking good. Give her a low ppm feed, under 500. Don't feed it with every watering. Check the runoff water before giving it another feed.
