You did this start to finish with only 6 CFLs... all soft white 6500k CFLs or did you swap out to red or 2400k CFL for flower? No ballast, exhaust, CO2, or typical indoor setup used? I think it looks pretty nice.

shit right on man! thanks! well i 1st i started off with 2 26 watt cfls 6500k for the first 18 days with, then switched to 6 42watt 2700k bulbs. no c02 or anything special just a fan, self ballast cfls and some MG! with some sugar in the raw natural sugar.(it has some molasses in it LOL!)

What are self ballast CFLs? I haven't seen any in stores that say that on the package.

Also, it would be interesting to have some experienced growers weigh in on how much less yield and potency they would expect yours to have over that done in a grow room with all the bells and whistles(exhaust, expensive lighting, ballasts, Co2, etc. Really, if I could take killer genetics and use CFLs, good soil, a fan, and excellent nutes to get 80% the quality and quantity of some of the best grow setups I would be happy. Because there are some strains that are just too damn strong for me anyway so I wouldn't mind them coming out a little more mellow. Follow me?

Yours most certainly passes the look test.

By the way, when someone says CFL they are always referring to the little spiral bulbs you can buy at Walmart or Lowes, right?

cool. glad you guys like it! :twisted: i will post new pics when my buddies are done curin. i dried them for 4 days in a closet. then for 3 days (now) put them in some mason jars~! i open the jar a 3 times a day for ten minutes. but not too sure how long im gonna cure em'!? any suggestions?:peace:

my bad..virgin harvester..yea cfls are just the regular spiral fluorescent lights that u can buy from wal mart or target...targets cheaper! home depot has them too. when buying them be sure to look for temperature specs 6500k cool white is for veg 2700k warm white is for flower. thanks for all the positive feedback! :peace:

if 75% of the white hairs have changed to red or orange than its time to harvest.the other 25% of the hairs will change color during the curing proccess

haha....whaaat?!?! the hairs color dun mean anything... and when u chop the plant, the hairs turn red coz they die...they dry....whatever!!!! they can turn orange coz of underwatering too....so if u underwater ur plant on week 4 and it's pistils turn red, it dun mean that the plant is ready!!

i sea so many people reading the hairs and not the trich`s. even the guy that was helping me choped his already because of that and we started this grow at the same time and i still have a couple weeks to go.
