First time grower, Long time fan. I just built this box. I used an old case, a couple fans and a trip to the local surplus store for wiring/lamps/exhaust fan for a total of about 15 bucks including the timer. I was wondering what everyone thinks of this setup and how I can improve on it. I plan on growing one plant with this setup.
I'm running 18w 6500k daylight 1170 lumens lights. I have four running now, but have the supplies to add more if needed. First of all is this adequate light for the vegitation stage? I'll be switching to 2700k cfls for flowering.
Also, I found a sweet 12v turbo fan similar in design to what is found on hair dryers I plan on using as an optional exhaust fan and was wondering what you alll thought of it. Its not quiet enough for stealth, but it really moves the air.
