Is my plant doing okay?

This plant is a bag seed at 17 days old. The first true set of leaves don't look so good, in fact one of them is withering away. My first fan leaf tips & edges look a little burnt, I'm not sure if this was because of nutrients or the MH light.

I'm using Advanced Nutrients Sensi Grow Coco A&B @ around 450 ppm, that's with tap water. My tap water itself lies around 180 ppm. I water & feed every day, since it is Coco Coir. I'm using a 600W MH grow light w/ an air cooled hood. I now have this hood raised all the way up to the top of my grow tent, tent is only 32"x32"x63".

New growth up top seems to be looking a little healthier, so maybe raising the light did help? Temps go anywhere from 79°F - 86°F throughout the day, I know it's a little high, but it's the best I can do with that size light and the temps are pretty constant so the plants should adjust. I do have fans blowing across the canopy. So I just wanted some opinions on how my plant is looking at the moment. First grow here after all. I'll post some pictures below. Thank you!

fucksake! 36 view's this post had without any reply's! SHOCKING. anyway i think the plant look's good mate, would mabe change the watering to every two day's. think the tip's of the leaf's is a slight case of too much nute's due to being fed everyday mate

drop it in the big pot!!! its right there and ready!
...and maybe lighten yr feeding a bit.
looks to be doing good for most part. Some yellowing is normal on first leaves
As far as temp goes, yr right in there, although 86° is a little high, some use it to their advantage by using co2 bags,
or whatever form during veg, and early into flowering...
Its worth investigating.them smaller tents work well with that sorta thing.

it looks great and you are well on your way, depending on your soil, You really don't need a bunch of Nutes lay back on those for a few and see what happens, but by the looks of her your on the good side keep up the good work good luck,

Alrighty! Thank you all a ton for the advice! I would transplant into the 5 gallon, but unfortunately, I'm not too sure of the sex yet. It's just a random bagseed, not even sure of the strain. So I'll leave her/him in the 1 gallon until I can tell if it's a female or not, then I'll drop her into the final pot. This way I save a little on water & nutrients.

Okay so I'll lighten up on the nutrients a bit, maybe put them down around 275 - 325 ppm?

I was looking into supplying the plant with CO2 since the temps that I'm at would be perfect for it, but I've heard it's a bit pricey & not the greatest without a sealed room and that there's a lot of leakage with grow tents.

Ya...just an idea on co2, and makes sense on the pot. You got it.

Forget about the co2 and like others said lay back on the nutes. You don't want to over fert and when you decide to up can, scourge the root ball by using a razor and slashing vertically to promote some root growth

Are you sure? I had these nutes @ 450ppm already and that burnt the plant with some holes in the leaves.. I watered again today with a 310ppm mix until my runoff lowered back around 310ppm as well. I'm waiting until tomorrow to see how she'll look from that. If all is well should I raise my nutrients immediately back up to 400ppm? Or should I just ride that out for the week?

I see the minor tip burn there and looks like some nute spill on the other tip.

botanicare cal/mag helps...the nute mix you are making seems to be out of balance

Many times plants do poor if the room has not enough air exchange going on

I was having the same problem light green plants,we were running plants in 3 rooms according to age of plant.
oh where was I?
just smoked a blunt,excuse me.
anyway,the problem seems to go away when I up pot and increase the dose of nutes.

maybe alphasierra grows different?

upping your ppm won't necessarily make your plants greener. upping ppm using N usually will make them darker green, unless of course they are at a fragile stage of growth (like 17 days old) then it could also make them nice and crispy and dead. some strains are naturally lighter in color. a ppm of 400 with water at 180 seems acceptable maybe once a week.
