Is my plant sick?

I am not sure if this was a lack of neuts or normal die off (this is my first grow) so I figured I would ask the experts!

This photo's were taken right before switching to flower and it doesnt seem to affect all of them, just a couple. Also I shot these right before watering and some were a little dry.

I put in an overall shot to show the health (or lack thereof) of my grow as well as a couple individual plant shots to help.

Should I clip the dying leaves off at the branch or just leave them be?

well I personally dont like to remove leaves unless they are in really bad shape, the plants all look healthy except for a couple leaves?
so is it the lower leaves? maybe you got some nutrient water on the leaves and it burned them a bit. or a slight cal/mag shortage.
what strain you got going?

Couple different strains goin, White Satin, Double Gum, Purple Lady and Gigabud. It's only on the white satin and a double gum I think.

They are the oldest leaves, and I think you are correct on the cal-mag deficiency, I was using RO water and probably not adding enough cal-mag initially.

I have added full strength neuts and cal-mag to the last watering and they seem to be doing ok.

I cut a couple of the leafs at the half way point roughly, right below where they were blighted all the way through the leaf since it was messed up and blocking light to a healthy looking leaf cluster.

Most of them I left alone. I will put new shots up in a couple days.

i would recommend removing the dying leaves, if it is a problem it can spread through the plant, I always remove leaves as it gives more light to leaves that will bud, generally the lower leaves will not produce and buds and therefor are rendered useless.

I will probably go and do that tomorrow when the lights come on then I guess.

those leaves arent in that bad of shape and removing basically healthy green leaves which give off energy to promote growth during flowering stage like that is dumb. especially since he said he put them into flowering after taking hte pics

I agree with jason, I want to to see 2 plants that are identical, one fan leaves removed, the other not. I have never removed leaves unless the leaves are in really poor shape.)

someone should do a side by side comparison .. my friend swears by removing fan leaves, he says it stunts the growth at first, but you end up with more bud in the end because the side shoots extend up higher....although Iv seen him burn the fuck out of plats using to much nutes, as well as some other dumb things, so.. so maybe he is on to something, or maybe not...

I never said my way is the only way, there is alot of different ways to grow, whats right is what the user gets the best results doing.

Ok, after further deliberation I went and cut the fan leaves that were blighted all the way through (top and bottom) and more than 50% damaged (severely).

I left behind any leaves that were just yellowed or suffering from problems that didn't penatrate totally through the leaf for a majority of its surface area.

Some leaves I was able to just remove the portion that was damaged to try to prevent the blight from spreading. (total removed was probably less than 1 fan leaf when combined)

I agree that removing healthy leaves to provide light to budding sites is kinda nonsensical, The leaves are required to produce energy so removing healthy leaves would indeed be silly.

I will put pics up again next Sunday unless something else changes.
