Is my res fluctuation OK ????

I am running a 55 gal res on 6 ebb and flo buckets




Questions are as.....

1. My res changes only a lil when fluctuating PH or PPM. Heres a example

8-15-09 and below those are tests done on 8-17-09 2 days later

PH 6.0 PPM 1120 55 RES
6.2 1130

PH 6.2 PPM 1140 Controller bucket
6.3 1140

PH 6.2 PPM 1110 Bucket Plants Are In
6.3 1130
Are these fluctuations ok and Im on track or......

2. I was told once to check my controller buckets PH and PPM to my 55 gallon res. but was never told WHY ? What should I be paying attention to ?

everything sounds good, i have a 24site system and i never checked the controller or the indivdual buckets, only cus i use PBP and its thick and shit builds up at the bottoms. can i make a suggestion? i am sure you have seen Earl's grows, he runs a lower nute load than you would think you should, and i do this now too since we want to see our ppms go down along with the water consumption, heres an example 50galls 1000ppm today, tomorrows rez 40gallons 950ppm..see the plants are using up nutes as fast or faster than water, this is just the perfect amount, what used to happen to me was i would blast them with nutes, lets say 50gallon rez 1000ppm, next day 40gallons 1100ppm...if this ever happened to you than your using a lil too much nutes, plants are drinking more water and leaving behind more salts, more salts equal higher salt concentration equals PH flux and potential for nute burn, this will cause you to add back water, this is fine but you have hit the right balance of nutes when you see ppms go down with the qwater or stay even, so you will be adding back water WITH nutes when top off time comes......i love/hate the ebb and grow, i love it cus i never had healthier plants and i hate it cus im so bored, its like watching paint dry

this is great info MG ,ive been using to much nutes, my ppm goes up around 100 ppm everyday, ive been using 1250 to 1500 but ill drop it down to 1000 and see if it goes up or down

Sancho damn we meet again and out of the bed room lol. Are u flowering ? Id assume so with PPM at 1500 and such ?

yea try lower nutes, how about this, i use botanicare organc nutes, i run 900ppm....thats not much considering they are all 24inches tall been vegging a month. one thing i truly love about pure blend pro, its thick and stinks like shit, but other watery chemical nutes leave salt everywhere, this stuff not at all, nutes with not much salt tend to have more stable PH i have noticed, i have used dyna-gro(good stuff) GH flora series (i hate it) and technaflora B.C. (top shelf no salt) fox farms(decent, the 3 powder additives are great)..salty residue will cause you to battle ppm and PH every single day, i now make my mixes and i used to change and clean all my rez's every 10 days, now all i do is add back no changeout cus they are drinking like crazy, you would think i have salt built up everywhere but i can set it at 5.5 and i have atleast 3 days before it hit 6.2

ive been using GH floranova nutes and dont have much to compare them to but im defenatly going to try a lighter nute load, i dont mean to change the subject but i got a new hana ph meter and i think ive been running my ph to low, ive been using the ph drops and trying for 5.8 but when i got my meter it said 5.0. Anyway man it would be great to just add nutes and water as needed and not dump the whole res out every week. coop,how often do you have to change the res on that system bro? the convenance of being able to move those buckets close or spread em must be nice.

I am shooting for 2 changes during a flower phase. I am doing half strength TechnaFlora BC Boost,Bloom,and Grow. I,ll be adding a little Awsome Blossom 1/2 or longer into flower. I tend to top off at about 50 gallons bringing it back to 55 gal. Im still tuning all this but if you check out my most recent pics of the fat asss heri that is only 2 weeks in I ass-u-me all is well. Im all ears to my bitches and they sound happy.

youve seen my circus! i guess week long vacations and leaky res's dont mix,its a good thing im growing weed instead of violets bro! old morris has been helpin me get tuned up on aero and tryin to keep me out of trouble. i feel ya on the need for strong meds, the lose and leafy comes up short , id love to learn how to grow the A+++ tonight im trying to make cana butter with some of the junk that i got from my disaster, im not sure if theres any much thc in the plants that early, shit bro i might just be makin bad tasting cookies!!
